What looks right or wrong is often a matter of subtle differences to the original creative layouts. So before your website or mobile app is published, it’s important to check that everything displays properly, such as;
Screen
- Colour and shading are correct, and that gradients are consistent with design comps.
- Padding (white space) around the edges.
- Text, images, controls (buttons) don’t run into the edges of the screen.
Controls
- Text, controls and images are aligned properly.
- Hover and selection states highlight correctly, and change colour.
- Clickable areas are suitably sized.
Text
- Font sizes, style and colour are consistent for each type of text.
- Words are not cut off or left dangling
- Text scrolling displays correctly.
